Founded in 2010 by Erik Andersson and Frida Kempff, Läsk is a Swedish-based film production company dedicated to redefining the cinematic landscape. We envision a future where stories transcend borders, spark dialogue, and resonate across generations. With a commitment to championing underrepresented voices, we create films that don’t just entertain, but challenge perspectives and inspire transformative conversation.
From the earliest success of our short film Bathing Micky, awarded the Prix du Jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010, Läsk has consistently broken new ground on the international stage. Our portfolio includes the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival Centerpiece selection The Swedish Torpedo, the 2021 Sundance standout Knocking, and Dogborn, celebrated at the Venice Critics’ Week in 2022.
With each production, we seek not only to earn global recognition, but to foster a more inclusive, dynamic, and impactful cinema for audiences worldwide.
